I was my own boss! I set my hours, my appointments, and my price. It was hard at times for sure, but I loved the experience.
What I wish was different
I wish I would've gone into it with a better attitude. I started to get a little negative about some aspects of it, and it ended up hurting my productivity.
Advice
I learnt the power of the local classified ads on Facebook in the area. People flock to those things, and it's free advertising!
Owning your own business is a really fun adventure, and I'd recommend everyone do it for something they enjoy at some point in their life. Mine never became huge, but it had some very respectable cash flow and met our needs for the time being. You learn a lot owning your own business.

I enjoyed the physical labor, being outside, sunshine, fresh air, working at my own pace, being creative and making mybown hours.

Nothing.
Advice
Do the best work you can. You wont need to advertise as your work will speak for itself and word of mouth is better than any flyer.
