What I liked
This is a great opportunity to launch your career in the financial industry. Great training! You get to work with the CEO on a daily basis and learn from his many years of experience. I liked that I was able to explore different areas of the industry. I learned not only about stocks and bonds, but also about insurance (and its many forms), retirement plans, and even employee retention programs. EM Financial Services offers a wide variety of products and services, a feature that enabled me, as an intern, to get experience on many financial solutions offered to individuals and businesses. I did not have just one task, instead, I was able to pretty much work on whatever I found interesting, something that not many internships allow you to do. As an example, although I began as a stockbroker trainee, I asked my manager if I could learn more about insurance. Not only he taught me about it, he also offered to sponsor me the 2-15 license and gave me access to the tools that allowed me to pass the exam and sale insurance!
Keep in mind that this internship is mostly about sales (as the finance industry generally is). Great opportunity to improve your selling skills and make good money!
