Working for a start up company gave me a great opportunity to cater my experience to my own interests and explore both the business and engineering sides of the company.
What I wish was different
Nothing really, I had a great experience and I was able to work part time throughout the school year to keep in touch with the company.
Advice
If you get the opportunity to work for a small company or somewhere with employers willing to mentor and teach you about the industry definitely take it. More importantly though, always ask for what you want, I was able to continue working during school and was offered full time all because I asked to continue with the company.
