About five years ago, impatiens got infected with blight, the only way for the blight to not spread is to not plant them. That is why English gardens does not sell normal impatiens. The responsible thing to do is not plant them until the disease is controlled or eradicated. Alternatively, you can plant New Guinea or Sun impatiens.
