General Intern working in the Design Initiatives department of Enterprise Community Partners
May - August 2019 • Boston, MA
What I liked
The employees in the Boston office of Enterprise are engaged in many interesting projects. There is a buzz of creative energy in this collaborative environment filled with people who have a depth of experience in affordable housing, community, and culture. Office shares space with MASS Design Group, another group of creative individuals who model architecture for social service.
What I wish was different
It would have been nice to have access to a wider range of software (Adobe, particularly) on the PC I used, although I completely understand that it didn't make financial sense to utilize a license for a 10-week internship position.
Advice
Plan to spend more than expected on lunches, as there are many interesting and healthy restaurants within easy walking distance.

Advice
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you are unsure about how to manage a case, your supervisor will know the answer. At the end of the day, the quality of work should be up to par for your clients. If you refuse to ask questions because you feel embarrassed, the client may suffer as a result.
