What I liked
I worked as a co-teacher for three weeks in an outdoor-based preschool. It was a summer camp with flexible activities and a goal to spend 90% of each day outside in the woods, exploring. With my class of four-year-olds, we discovered mud, rain, tunnels, tree forts, cicadas, and more. Alongside the importance of time outdoors, the director emphasized differentiated learning and emotional well-being in the children and everyone involved. This job is where I learned the value I felt for differentiation, flexibility, and social and emotional well-being in my teaching goals. It was a very meaningful and enjoyable experience for me and I would gladly do it again!
