Personal Training Intern

June - August 2019 • New York City, NY

What I liked

I liked my hours and the people I worked with. Since they didn’t pay, they understood that I would need flexible hours because I worked at a restaurant as well. They also threw me right into the mix and told me the internship is what I make of it.

What I wish was different

I wish they had given me slightly more guidance early on, but I figured out stuff I was able to do after a while.

Advice

Talk to everyone you can!

Front Desk Associate

June - August 2019 • New York City, NY

What I liked

I loved the community and the free gym membership

What I wish was different

The members at the Equinox I worked at were really rude. That was hard. Getting yelled at by rich people for things I couldn't control.

Advice

Really great job for the Summer, but you have to go into it knowing that you are the bottom of the totem pole. You are in customer service, and the customer is always right.
