What I liked

Very flexible, course-based fellowship with many discussion-based format. Diverse cohort with respect and empathy promoted above all else -- welcoming, supportive, virtual learning environment with one-on-one mentoring sessions, group meetings 2x per week, dialogue opportunities and in-depth learning.

What I wish was different

The virtual nature of this fellowship was difficult, and I think our cohort did a great job of establishing community quickly -- but it would have been great to all meet in person. Also, this was much more of a course-based format than a traditional internship experience; more about learning about dialogue and designing/facilitating our own dialogues than working/interning at Essential Partners.

Advice

Go in with an open mind, curious spirit, critical questions, and deep vulnerability -- these are all points of growth! This was an eye-opening fellowship, and you really get out what you put into it.
