It was a hands on experience. I am very accustomed to manufacturing different structures. However, this internship allowed me to grasp and apply the mathematics needed create an optimal product. I also learned a wide range of computer networking, data transportation, manipulation of data for analysis.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more freedom in my work scope. Being an undergraduate researcher can be challenging while having to work with the chain of command. With more experience the freedom of work scope increased.
Advice
The field of renewable energy is increasing rapidly. It is great to gain experience early.
