I was placed in an internship that reflected my interests. I got marketing and communications experience in an art gallery setting. I also got a taste of how a small international business operates.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been paid for my work at the gallery. I also wish USU hadn't hit me with unanticipated extra costs after I was already half way through the program.
Advice
This program was a great opportunity for me to get international work experience, but it isn't for everyone. Not everyone within the same program (from other universities) had equally useful opportunities. I feel like I was lucky to get what I did.
