At the Foundation, the associates worked hard to be inclusive of the interns that were there for about 8-weeks total. The program was immersive and focused heavily on community engagement. They wholeheartedly trusted us, and encouraged us to be apart of the Foundation's culture.
What I wish was different
We tackled some pretty expansive projects, and learned so much in the span of two months. I would have hoped for a longer internship. I think that the extra could have elevated my final presentation as a whole, but overall, I feel the interns were able to produce really cohesive projects.
Advice
Engage with as many people you can. I worked with individuals throughout the city, as well as the amazing associates of the Foundation. The lessons I received from everyone truly stays with me today.
