There was lots of hands on work where I could see the parts I was working on and not just sitting at my desk all day

Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions! I was very timid at first because I didn't want what I was working on to distract the other engineers, but I needed to realize that they were there to help me learn.

You will get out of the internship what you put into it. It is one of the best learning opportunities you will have.

What I liked
I liked being able to work with other people to achieve a common goal. I also liked the consistency that the internship offered, as I was able to develop some legitimate skills using heavy machinery.
What I wish was different
I wish the commute was not as far as it was and I wish I could have worked with the other interns.
Advice
Always be looking for new ways to optimize your daily work and come to work open minded every day.

What I liked
The company's overall atmosphere is great and something I haven't had before at previous jobs. While certain employees don't always get along, overall everyone makes an effort to work together and get the job done. There isn't a lot of drama which really makes the days better.

The pay could be better.
