June - August 2023 • Los Angeles, CA

What I liked

I enjoyed the company culture.

What I wish was different

I wish that the company made more of an effort to create an internship experience. There were little to no company intern events. We felt like very much an afterthought.

Advice

Make sure to network a lot during your internship.

My experience at EY-Parthenon was very positive. Despite having the internship shortened and held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they were extremely warm and welcoming and ensured that all the interns had a positive experience!

June - August 2018 • Boston, MA

What I liked

Amazing people and culture. Best summer ever!

What I wish was different

A better staffing model - been able to see a wider variety of cases.

Advice

Focus on the summer experience and whether or not you could see yourself at this firm full time and/or long term. Worry about other consulting firms/other industries at the end of the summer.

What I liked

They made an incredible effort to plan events for the interns. On average two-three intern events a week, ranging from Soccer games, to lunches with partners, to boat cruises. A great opportunity to get to know people at all levels at the firm. Also 1-week of training and one week at Disney world with interns from other offices fostered a really great sense of camaraderie across the offices as well as within the offices. They plug you in right away to have an impact as well, and you learn a lot!

What I wish was different

My experience was unique in that I wasn't immediately staffed on normal cases so I wasn't doing a lot of work until later on in the summer. I think this has more to do with the fact that we only work for 8 weeks once you consider training and disney are 2/10 weeks.

Advice

Enjoy every moment, and go to the Intern events! Also truly take advantage of the coffee chats and the different events. Finally, get to know the Associates, as well as the interns in your office and at the other offices! They will become friends you keep after you leave/return!
