What I liked
It’s a customer first environment. I’m really enjoying talking with customers and helping them choose the best movie for their night in.

The amount of movies being returned at once.
Advice
It’s a very easy job to handle once you have the hang of things. As you move up in the chain, things get more complicated. It takes a lot of time management, and also critical and fast thinking.

The “calling out sick” process. If you’re sick and unable to come in, you get written up unless you can find someone to cover your shift.
Advice
Upsell to every customer even if you don’t think they’ll go for it.

I would say do not take the customers bad attitude personally. It can be an attitude towards the company or other employees

I loved the environment. My coworkers were like a big family and everyone worked together to achieve our goals of the day, week, and month.
What I wish was different
I wish we had breaks, but my team members usually took over so I could breathe or eat.
Advice
the more shifts you cover the easier it is to get your own shifts covered. As long as you lift your own weight you will be taken care of.
