FashionBar LLC

Web Development Intern

January - December 2019 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

- I learned a lot from all the hands on projects FashionBar gave to me. There was never a day I didn't learn something new - The work environment is amazing. All the employees were nice and welcoming - My professional network grew tremendously from all the people I met

What I wish was different

- It was an overall enjoyable experience

Advice

- Be prepared to learn. It was great being able to have so much control over the projects but you have to be willing to do some independent research.

Public Relations Intern

September - November 2019 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

I did not like anything about this place I honestly felt they did not know what they were doing and it was ridiculous.

What I wish was different

Everything from the show to the way every executed I felt that I was doing more than I was supposed to The show was a mess there were so many issues I would give advice would listen they would give excuses I had an extensive background but they made it seem like I knew nothing

Advice

You will not learn anything some days I would go and we would do nothing and I felt that there was so much to be done because there were so many flaws. I had to work with these people after my internship but I refused too because I did not like the work culture.

What I liked

I liked how I was treated like an actual employee. I didn't go on one run while at this company. They have me do actual work and I've learned so much.

What I wish was different

Nothing. It was honestly better than I thought it'd be.

Advice

Be ready to hit the ground running. They'll have you working hard from the minute you walk in the door.
