Dave Schrock was my advisor for the summer as an intern, and he was so helpful and walked through all the processes with me. I learned how to be an academic advisor basically.

The only thing I would say for advice to have this position is to be confident and comfortable talking to people. Also to be comfortable talking in front of people if you are working at orientation.

I wish there were more hour opportunities. I loved this job but felt it was over very quickly.

This job requires very fine-tuned people skills as well as adaptability. You never know what is going to happen when it comes to this job.

I enjoy working for Ferris State University because I get breaks off since campus is closed! That's probably my favorite part. So I would recommend that!

I enjoyed answering customer questions as well as analyzing and organizing data with the College of Education and Human services.

Everything went smoothly. The only item that I wish were different were the computer programs I used to input data.
Advice
For anyone that would come after me within this job, my advice is to use colors to coordinate what you are working on or a symbol system to organize the files as well as your ideas.
