What I liked
I loved the freedom that was involved in this program. I learned far more about troubleshooting and designing an experiment than I expected to learn going in. I loved collaborating with and learning from other talented scientists involved in this program, and the sense of community there was to be found in living in a remote area of the rain forest.
What I wish was different
While the freedom that was granted to us was fantastic, I wish there was a little more structure.
Advice
If you get the opportunity to study in an incredibly biodiverse location, take it. You will gain a greater appreciation for conservation work.
