What I liked

First Bank is a small financial institution so there is definitely a sense of "family." You get to meet a lot of different people and they're all really kind people. The company definitely cares about its employees. Additionally, you can receive incentives for meeting the referral requirements each month. There isn't a maximum amount of incentives either, so you can earn a lot of money just from that. I also like having the opportunity to travel to other branches and meeting new people. It's a great work environment.

What I wish was different

I wish the pay could be a bit higher than what it is right now. I know it's higher than the minimum wage, but it's still not a decent wage in my opinion.

Advice

Stay up to date with the emails you receive. There are changes that occur behind the scenes that might be applicable to you, so you should definitely be aware of that. Also, get to know the clients. Most are nice people and you can earn some referrals by getting to know them as well because they'll tell you their needs/wants without realizing that the bank might make that possible for them. For instance, if someone is casually talking about not being able to afford a new patio for their house, they might not know that we have a home equity line of credit (HELOC) loan for them.
