I loved interning at Fort Worth Magazine because it was a very hands on experience. I'm specifically interested in event planning so I directly worked with their Events Coordinator where I got to help with planning, seeing venues, and attending the fabulous events. The people there are amazing and I got to meet so many amazing people through the events. I also loved learning more about the city of Fort Worth. Highly recommend this internship experience.

What I liked
It was a hands-on experience! I was able to write features on cool things and people in Fort Worth, such as new dining locations, Chopped Chefs, and local business people. I made connections and was able to learn what it was like to work for a magazine.
What I wish was different
I wish it was paid... it was a great experience, but it was unpaid, so finances were tough for a while!
Advice
Ask all the questions. Internships are meant for learning, so if you don't understand something, definitely ask about it!
