Garney Construction

Project Engineer

August - December 2020 • Nashville, TN

What I liked

I enjoyed learning about the construction industry. I though that the process of designing, constructing and verifying the building was interesting. I liked learning the submittal review process.

What I wish was different

I wish that I could have seen more things go into the ground and onto the building that I was working on.

Advice

I would recommend that an incoming intern should ask many questions and simply speak up if you dont understand something.

What I liked

Garney is the type of employer who wants all of their employees to succeed. They will help you build your skills in the field and office atmospheres. They also make sure your internship meets all the necessary requirements. Garney works hard, and does the job right.

For the duration of the internship you have to use your own vehicle, so you need something reliable.
