What I liked

I really like working with the clients there. Learning about their experiences and helping to provide a stable environment that will allow them to reclaim their lives and transition from homelessness to stability.

What I wish was different

I wish that there were more employees who were trauma informed, addiction counselors, and trauma counselors. There also needs to e programs to help the women understand finances, healthy relationship training, safe sex, etc.

Advice

You have to take things in stride. You will hear a lot of horrible things that have happened to people. You need to be able to hear those stories, give comfort but also be a stable and support without letting those things get to you.
