I loved the since of family the whole team who took part in the internship provided. The group seminars on social justice issues and how they related to the studies of our faith were empowering and further inspired our work at the individual nonprofits we worked for. The great sites and historical places we visited were an added bonus too.
What I wish was different
I only wish that it would have lasted longer!
Advice
My advice would be to prepare to do a whole lot of walking, since only transportation we had was access to the metro but there were tons of places were only waling was necessary, and to be well versed in reading metro lines, bus schedules throughout the city etc. And be prepared to be put outside of your comfort zone on a daily basis, no day was the same as the last and you will be meeting people, going on seminars and doing something different nearly everyday.

Keep your head up, it is a lot going on in this internship and you can sort of get overwhelmed quickly.
