About Genscape, Inc

In 1999, two power traders grew frustrated with the lack of real-time, fundamental and alternative energy data, and wanted to change the game. They set about inventing new technologies to expand high-quality data access to more market participants than ever before. With the first ever power monitoring sensor that measured real-time flow on power lines, we changed the way the world sees and reacts to energy markets.

Fast-forward 20 years and we are the pioneer in real-time data delivery and market intelligence. We were on the forefront of some of the most important technology changes in the past few decades, including Internet of Things, Big Data, and Machine Learning, long before it was in vogue.

Today, we operate the world’s largest private network of in-field monitors and distribute industry-leading alternative data, delivering unsurpassed market intelligence across the commodity and energy spectrum including power, oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, agriculture, biofuels, and maritime freight.

Public Relations and Communications Intern

May 2019 - August 2019 Louisville, KY
“I loved the different projects I got to work on and the experience I got. The people I worked with were great and I learned a ton from this internship. I had the opportunity to grow my soft and technical skills. ”

New Market Analyst and Product Development Intern

May 2019 - August 2019 New York City, NY
“This was my first internship that diverged from mechanical engineering slightly, and instead allowed me to focus on the data analytics skills I have been learning from my Business Intelligence and Analytics master's program. I really enjoyed having the freedom to choose my own initiatives and learn new software skills. I learned Python and Tableau and was even able to develop a front-end Tableau dashboard that the company now displays on its client website. Instead of being tasked with "intern" jobs, I was given the responsibility to work on new and exciting projects that otherwise would have been assigned to a regular full-time employee. This internship allowed me to develop so many hard and soft skills and it provided me with the confidence to further engage with jobs in data analytics.”
