I enjoyed working with wonderful people, learning about a variety of marine species, and teaching guests.
What I wish was different
It would have been nice if there was more consistency about how we conveyed information to guests. I would get conflicting information from different staff members about how to communicate with guests.
Advice
Keep learning, and take as many training courses as you can. Also, be sure to repeat some courses from time to time, as the animals often change in the galleries.

Group Sales Marketing Intern
May - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA
What I liked
Loved being able to be a part of the guest experience within Georgia Aquarium. I was able to write invoices for guests and put a smile on their face at the same time. I also loved being able to experience the Behind the Seas Tours.
What I wish was different
I wish to have been a little bit busier. Over the summer time group sales is not very busy with school being out.
Advice
This was a once and a lifetime opportunity to see what goes on behind the "seas" for Georgia Aquarium. It was amazing and I would go back in a heartbeat to still intern for them. I met some amazing people and was able to network all throughout the Aquarium.
