I love the people down there and the fact that I was able to travel to a different state for the summer. I gained tons of experience and was mentored by safety leadership. I was also given the power to take control of my desire large project.
What I wish was different
I would like to got invited to every day meetings and have a say on what the outcome will be. I also would have liked the power to purchase my own Safety products for the company.
Advice
Never think like it is just a 12 week internship. Act like you'll stay there forever and get to know the names of the people around you so you can ask them for help when needed.

Contract Quality Lab Technician

What I liked
This job opened my eyes to the quality field in manufacturing. I did not know a lot about the corrugated cardboard field before this internship. I think that this internship was beneficial to me for gaining knowledge just outside of my field. After all, everything I make as a biomedical engineer will need to fit in a box!
What I wish was different
I was by myself a lot of days and wasn't kept super busy during my 8-4 days.
Advice
Be friendly to everyone! You never know who you will need to help you out sometime.
