Metallurgical Engineering Intern

May - August 2019 • Fort Smith, AR

What I liked

I really liked that steel mill environment with all of the heavy machinery like cranes moving ladles. I enjoyed the balance between hands on work and computer work.

What I wish was different

The overall moral of the workers seemed to be low. I wish there was more company pride.

Advice

If you stay busy and actively do your job while making good connections around the plant, everything else will fall in line.

Reliabity Engineering Intern

May - August 2018 • Baldwin, FL

What I liked

A lot of freedom and hands on engineering experience in an interesting field.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have stayed on board during the school year, to continue my practical education along with my technical education.

Advice

Don't be overwhelmed by your first internship. Even the biggest companies can make you feel at home.
