Communications & Marketing Intern

June - August 2020 • Gettysburg, PA

What I liked

I enjoyed the opportunity to balance many responsibilities and varied projects. I also had the chance to take the lead on many news stories, which I enjoyed, and also met with other members of the team for specified lessons in topics beyond content writing, like SEO and design.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been able to work on campus for this internship, but I was grateful for the opportunity to conduct it remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Advice

I would recommend that interns be prepared to try any assignment given to them and work efficiently. They should have a broad knowledge of the College offerings and members of the community and be able to conduct formal email exchanges.
