I loved working with the children I worked with. Getting to know the girls, carrying out activities, watching them make friends with each other which could last a lifetime. It was all just so worth it in the long run to make that much of a difference in some little girls' lives.
What I wish was different
I wish the season didn't end how it did as it was very unfortunate with the shut down of the camp early. I overall loved my experience here!
Advice
If you want to help people, starting at a small scale summer job would be such a powerful way to start off. Changing children's lives that might be having trouble at home and giving them a safe place to be for the majority of the day, makes it so worth it.
