What I liked
The internship program with GKB at ESPN Cleveland was an amazing and unique experience. I had many opportunities to work alongside several of the top names in my field along with getting hands on experience in different areas that I had not been exposed to. I was very thankful to have been able to experience and learn more about marketing and putting on events as that will be important for my career going forward.
What I wish was different
The only thing that I wish had been different was that I wish it was a paid internship. I ended up having to pick up an extra job on the side to earn some money. This kept me from participating in several events and opportunities that were available to me through the internship program.
Advice
Work hard. Make sure that everyone knows your name. If you are willing to put in an effort and go above and beyond what is asked, you will earn some amazing opportunities.
