Better pay. Everyone does a whole lot more than their paygrade, especially the GEAs.

If you're not willing to come into work and work to make someone smile, share information, or connect to people, you may want to find a different job.

Digital Content Marketing Intern

What I liked
This is a great position that shows what it is like to manage the brand of a company. It was a great mix of media, working with video, social media, and writing. I learned a lot about how to work with a marketing team and make targeted content.
What I wish was different
Through this internship, it’s definitely a work study. You put in a lot of work and get your content published, but there isn’t as much learning as I would expect from an unpaid internship. There tends to be a lot of travel - having your own transportation is vital.
Advice
Be ready for hard work! It’s a fun environment to be in and there is a lot to learn. This is definitely an internship for someone who is a go-getter and used to forging their own path.

What I liked
I had an amazing experience at the Aquarium this summer. The people are all so friendly and knowledgeable, and the fun, laid-back, yet hard-working and passionate culture of the organization is something I want to look for in my future job. At the beginning of this internship, I was still not sure whether or not Marketing was the right major for me. However, after this internship, I could not be more excited for my future.
What I wish was different
Advice
Get to know everyone you meet. Take advantage of their knowledge. Keep an open mind. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
