Volunteer

August 2018 • Mount Tabor, VT

What I liked

Got to volunteer in a way that felt helpful both in the short term and the long term! I met some amazing people and learned valuable skills relating to camping, tool use, and trail upkeep! The team leaders were able to keep calm, help, and lead when there were injuries or weather issues.

What I wish was different

I think it was as good as anyone could plan for - weather and whatnot arn’t very controlable factors. Even though I wanted better food - what was brought along worked with everyones diets, were good for the days work, and were able to be brought to the campsite with ease.

Advice

Make sure you are prepared! Have alm the required equipment they ask of you, communicate with your team leaders, and know your limits
