I was given the freedom to create Guardian's social media presence from scratch and truly start their digital interaction with the communities and groups they were trying to attract as new clients. I was also able to create some graphic design pieces for my portfolio to illustrate my growth as an artist.
What I wish was different
My supervisor didn't have a grasp for the platforms I was using and how my actions coincided with my intentions. I was very clear on creating quality not quantity content for the company. My role as the intern sometimes overshadowed my expertise in the area.
Advice
This is a very flexible experience. I was able to make it what I wanted and used my skills to advance both myself and the company.
