What I liked
H-E-B embodies all things great about Texas. The people I work with are all amazing to be around and it is so easy to enjoy your time at work while being able to get everything done in a timely manner. The pay is excellent compared to any other grocery store as well as other "entry-level" jobs considered ideal for kids still in HS or College. They allow me to take educational leaves of absence and work while I am home for holidays and summer.
What I wish was different
That we had an H-E-B in Idaho Falls so I could work there too instead of what I do right now.

The pay was good, we were able to listen to music and podcasts while we worked.
What I wish was different
I wish they had trained me better from the beginning, we learned several things about the job after we received a training after having worked there a couple weeks.
Advice
Get into night shifts if you are ok with sleeping during the day. If you work this job be willing to work hard during your shift because the work is fast-paced. There is a lot of stock to get on the shelves.

Great environment, and good overall experience with my coworkers as well as my superiors.

One thing that I wish was different would be the amount of hours that one gets scheduled (work schedule often fluctuates as more people get hired).

H-E-B is a great environment and an overall great place to work at. I've been working since the summer and I absolutely love it.

I wish I had taken Ochem 2 during summer II with the professor I had Ochem I with in Spring.
Advice
If you get a part-time job at a good company with good pay and feel like you need to take a semester off to work and make more money don't do it. Just go to school and don't delay your getting out but keep your part time job too. Also if you had a good professor for one class, take the next class with him/her and as soon as possible.
