I liked working with a group that wanted to be part of a cause greater than themselves. Everyone wanted to be there, there were no negative attitudes. I also gained knowledge of building that I would never have received otherwise
What I wish was different
The southern Florida sun is brutal when putting on roofs.
Advice
Habitat is a great community organization that helps disadvantaged people become homeowners. The future homeowner and the community partake in "sweat equity" and build a home.
