What I liked

There are so many things to like about working at Haley's Hope! As literacy coaches here, we equip students with dyslexia to better process and understand the information that they receive. This job is so inspiring and rewarding by helping others grow and become more confident in areas such as reading and writing that they may struggle with in their day to day. life The team here is very friendly and welcoming which makes the work environment very comfortable.

Advice

This has been such a rewarding and amazing experience getting to help kids grow in their reading and writing abilities. A piece of advice I would share with others regarding this experience is to have empathy and patience while working with students. Every student coming to Haley's Hope has a different learning style, pace, and personality, so ensuring a literacy tutor is resilient and adaptive to each student is important.
