I liked being able to observe the inside workings of the court system, specifically the juvenile court system.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been given a more active role in the community: The purpose of the internship was to be a supporting role in implementing participatory defense in Hamilton County. However, most of my time was spent in the office.
Advice
I would definitely recommend taking an active role and advocating for your position. Make sure to take on more duties than the job description entails so you can learn as much as you can.
