Hampshire College is an independent, innovative liberal arts institution. The Hampshire campus is set on 800 acres of meadows, woods, orchards and a working farm in Amherst, Massachusetts, a vibrant college town that is also home to the University of Massachusetts and Amherst College and is within a few miles of Smith and Mount Holyoke Colleges . The colleges are partners in the Five College Consortium, an educational cooperative.
