I liked the fast pace and that I got to interact with customers, but not up front like cashiers have to do. It was a great first job and got me back on my feet, quite literally.
What I wish was different
We went through a lot of people in the few months I was there. I would have liked if there was slightly better handling on why so many people left after only being with us for a short while.

What I liked
I enjoyed some of my regular customers. They brightened up my day and made the time go by.
What I wish was different
I wish I had experienced this role under different management. My managers had no sympathy for tragedy and no respect for people’s needs. They let my hard work go unnoticed and unappreciated. I only chose to leave because of this.
Advice
Always stay true to yourself. Know your worth and don’t be a doormat.
