What I liked

Harri is a restaurant tech startup based in Soho, so being able to be in an environment that was constantly growing and changing, and where I could really make an impact, was invaluable. I learned so much about the operations of a small business, from finance to sales to human resources, and got a lot of real world experience.

What I wish was different

There wasn't an official role as an intern when I joined the company, so it wasn't always clear what my job duties and limitations were. Since the company was rapidly expanding, everyone was very busy handling a lot of tasks at once, so there wouldn't always be time or someone available to help guide me in my projects.


Think a lot about what kind of experience you'd like to gain, and be ready to approach projects from multiple perspectives. I worked in marketing, but often incorporated sales, finance, and outreach.
