What I liked

I really enjoyed having the opportunity to help package food for the families in need in the Midlands. I also enjoyed meeting other volunteers through the process and just having the ability the help my community.

What I wish was different

My volunteer experience has been perfect and I wouldn't want to change anything about it.

Advice

My advice would be to continue to serve and help out whenever you can. There are always people in need of help, and when you can help, then you should definitely take advantage of those opportunities to give back in your communities and the state you live.

What I liked

I had a lot of independence in my role and got to work with a really great team. I have been able to gain a lot of great experience while working for a cause that really matters to me. I would certainly recommend working with Harvest Hope!

What I wish was different

I wish I had a little more clarity on expectations early on but this was a new position.

Advice

Be prepared for lots of reading and writing, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
