The Hazleton Area School District covers 255 square miles, spanning southern Luzerne County and small portions of northern Carbon and Schuylkill counties, and is among the largest public school districts in the state. With a student population of nearly 10,900 students, the District employs more than 700 teachers in 13 school buildings.
