What I liked

I liked that I was able to learn more about the communities in Detroit and how to better support them. I liked how I was encouraged to be Creative and organized.

What I wish was different

I wish that I knew what type of work environment I was getting myself into. With smaller nonprofits it’s can be a challenging work environment since the line between personal and professional is too often crossed.

Advice

Everything is a learning experience. It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to like some parts and not the others, life will not always go as expect but there’s always a silver lining. Just remember to always give it your best foot forward and try your hardest because that is what learning is all about.
