What I liked

My team leader genuinely cared about me and my education. When I joined the team I was treated as a full-time team member. I was provided a feature to develop and had the support of my team in getting it done. The management team is super transparent, they have frequent meetings where they discuss how the company is doing and upcoming milestones. When someone joins or leaves it's no secret. They work to keep team members on long-term and working with their strengths and interests. Everyone seeks to follow the Catalyst Way (their set of company values). I've never worked anywhere that has humility as a value and seeks to be an example of it, and it's not limited to the front-line workers.

What I wish was different

When I had started, there was some fuzziness in getting caught up (my immediate tasks) and the internship process. They didn't have a concrete end-date for the internship, which may be good or bad.

Advice

Be honest in your abilities during the interviews and after you've been brought onto the team. During my interview, a team member asked me about my skills, and I was candid in my capabilities. As a result of this honesty, they were able to place me on a team that I've enjoyed and has helped me to grow without being too challenging.
