Heartland Hospice provides care wherever our patients call home: in their house, a skilled nursing center, an assisted living facility or independent living facility. Our caregivers help create individualized care plans, set personal goals, and manage pain and symptoms. Every patient is different. With different challenges, different needs, different family and friends. So the care we give each patient is different.
At Heartland, we consider our involvement with patients a sacred opportunity and a privilege to be in their lives. We depend on our hospice volunteers to help us provide the love, respect and care our patients and their families need. Some interact directly with patients and families. Others prefer to work behind the scenes in the office setting. As a student volunteer, you help determine which tasks you’re best suited to perform.
Our program is flexible to fit your busy schedule and our training will help you farther your education. We will work with you on filling your internship/volunteer hour requirements.
