What I liked

I really enjoy the structure of the internship. Because it is a remote position, it allows the interns to virtually work from anywhere with flexible hours. Despite not being in person together, Hello Green creates an open and supportive environment that fosters learning. They value putting yourself out there and taking a chance over being perfect, which allows you to develop professional and learn to think out of the box.

What I wish was different

Nothing! I am extremely happy with my time at Hello Green and wouldn't change a thing. I am satisfied with the work I got to accomplish, the relationships I developed, and the invaluable lessons I've learned.

Advice

The digital marketing/social media intern position can be a lot of independent work, in which you have to take initiative in what you do. So, I prioritize brainstorming as well as research when working on any projects. Do not be afraid to ask questions and be sure to share any ideas that you have!

Social Media Intern

What I liked

I really enjoyed the amount of collaboration I was able to have with our clients. I was able to go on-site with clients and create content, allowing us to create a clear creative vision together. I also really enjoyed getting to go to events and learning about networking on the event floors.

What I wish was different

I would have liked to collaborate more with my fellow interns.

Advice

Create a document where you keep notes of everything you learn from this internship. Every task is a learning experience and I wish I would have written down everything as I went along.

What I liked

I liked the remote structure, since it let students from different areas get involved! The structure also works great with class load. I like how I got a lot of opportunities to try new things, which was really great! There was a lot of hands on experience, and a lot of other amazing creative people on the team!

What I wish was different

There’s nothing that I can think of!

Advice

I would say make sure you take initiative in this internship, so that you can put yourself out there, and get more experience. Some work can be really independent so it’s important that you’re taking those steps to get content out or connect with others.

Digital Marketing Intern

What I liked

This internship was ideal for college students looking for work or recent college graduates. I fell in the latter and was looking for an opportunity out of college when I came across Hello Green. Working here you will get first hand experience working with very knowledgeable individuals in the marketing industry. You will learn a lot and it will teach you how to approach problems differently. The hours are flexible. You get a lot of responsibility and if you make the most of it, you will feel very fulfilled.

What I wish was different

I wouldn't wish for anything to be different. The internship was ideal, and even better than I thought it would be. The only thing that might be challenging is hours will vary intern from intern so try your best to stay organized.

Advice

One piece of advice is to make the most of your time here. Not everything will be told to you right off the bat and you need to try your best and figure it out on your own. Of course, if you need help, there will always be assistance. My advice is to try and apply yourself, challenge yourself, and make use of your open time in order to make a major impact.
