I loved the experiences I had, especially the event planning components for our annual Get Involved event. Thankfully, due to having an amazing supervisor, I was also able to manage my tasks with utmost specificity.
What I wish was different
The only issue I had was that I wish I would have started sooner, specifically closer to May, since it felt like a significant section of my summer was already over. Otherwise, nothing else was super glaring.
Advice
My biggest recommendation for someone who wants to work at the community foundation is to be quick and adaptable. Many times, I would be working on a specific task, to then bend quickly into something completely different. Adaptability is key. Learning to manage both your time and the tasks you work on are the upmost importance. While this job was constantly tricky by switching from task to task, the payoff was astronomical.
