What I liked
I love being able to work one on one with a nurse and getting experience to get a true feel of being a nurse. Getting to work on my clinical skills and critical thinking is a great part of this externship. Everyone is very encouraging and helpful.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have done this sooner.
Advice
Give it a chance! You never know what you may find a liking for and even if you don’t end up liking it, it’s a great learning and networking experience!

What I liked
I loved having an opportunity in Medicine as a Freshman. Many do not get the chance to experience Medicine before their Sophomore or Junior Year. I was able to build a network throughout the practice of Medicine.
What I wish was different
Absolutely nothing. I loved every moment of my experience.
Advice
Have a conversation with every last person you meet. You never know what CEO, Doctor, or Lawyer could be in front of you waiting to bless you with an opportunity to grow!

Absolutely loved the job. It was an amazing opportunity to work with pioneers in the field assisting with their projects in the lab and improving my own laboratory skills.

Nothing, the experience was amazing.

I would highly recommend anyone interested in research pursue opportunities even if they don't think they are qualified.
