About Heritage Christian Services

Our Mission:
To provide...
A living and working environment that reflects the love of Christ in action;
Support and respect for each individual’s gifts, strengths and needs;
Opportunity to mature, to learn and to grow;
A life of dignity, worth and expression to which all are entitled as God’s created children.
This is their rightful HERITAGE.

Our Vision:
All endeavors are undertaken in a Christ-centered culture and to the glory of God.

Our Values:
At Heritage Christian Services, we ask each staff member to daily exemplify the Heritage Christian Difference through actions and words. In our workplace, we value:
Christian Compassion - Serving others and ourselves with dignity, respect, humility and open hearts
Courage - Fearless and steadfast strength, even in difficult situations
Entrepreneurship - Gumption and initiative to serve people in new ways
Excellence - Determination to always meet and surpass quality standards
Honesty - Commitment to truth in intentions, actions and words
Humor - Lightheartedness and joy and sharing laughter with one another

At Heritage Christian Services, people always come first. It’s what the founding parents insisted on, and it’s still the backbone of the culture more than 30 years later. Because of that dedication, the agency upholds the highest standards of care for people with developmental disabilities, and when needs arise – like respite care for overextended families – HCS steps in to fill the gap. That’s why the agency has grown from one group home in 1984 to now serving more than 1,800 people through residential support, day programs, service coordination, respite, community habilitation, employment supports and licensed home care services.

Today, its reach includes Monroe, Wayne, Livingston, Erie and Niagara counties. Throughout its growth, quality residential programs have remained at the heart of the agency. To help with its residential waiting list, HCS continues to add homes and programs where people can have meaningful work and be active in their neighborhoods.

“This job for me is all about the relationships. Work for HCS if you love people, serving others, and leaving your shift feeling satisfied. There are endless opportunities to have positive and fulfilling interactions with the people you support as well as the coworkers beside whom you serve.”
