What I liked

HireRising was my first-ever internship stepping into the professional world. The workplace environment here is very friendly and welcoming; team culture is a strong value here, which is crucial for creating a great team. Another core concept at HireRising is gratitude - every Thursday, each team member shares what they are grateful for. Practicing gratefulness is key to building a positive mindset and attitude, and I really appreciated how HireRising integrates the importance of gratitude in the work week. The team bonding events are also really fun, and put together very well.

What I wish was different

The only thing I can think of that I wish was different is how COVID affected some of my internship, (which isn't specific to the company of course but was a universal issue). HireRising handled the pandemic very well with precautions, and even in the duration of the pandemic I was still able to learn a lot from my teammates. COVID is the only thing I wish had been different, so nothing relating to the company.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask for help! Everyone that I worked with at HireRising was very kind and willing to help me as a first-time intern. The leaders and teammates here want you to succeed both professionally and personally. The company environment naturally fosters the growth of all its employees, and overall is an excellent place to work. I highly recommend applying here.

What I liked

HireRising offers an extremely friendly and motivating work environment. Growth and genuine connections are highly valued. There is a great level of transparency and every employee knows/enjoys each other.

What I wish was different

I cannot say I wish anything had been different. I have been fostered and offered many opportunities for personal/professional growth.

Advice

The company's environment makes it never feel like "work". The communication and work ethic of the company is phenomenal which makes your position feel like a privilege and nowhere near an obligation. As for advice, all I can say is if you have a positive and driven attitude you will fit right in.

Accounting Intern

What I liked

HireRising was my first step into what I want to do as a career. They gave me the platform to gain more experience in accounting while continuing to further my knowledge in the field. I had worked hard enough to have an offer extended for a full-time salary position that I am now pursuing and has been incredible for my personal and professional growth!

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish would've been different is Covid not having impacted my first year with the company. Although the impact from Covid had accelerated my learning progress and allowed me to get hands-on in different areas. Although this is the only thing I can say I wish had been different.

Advice

One piece of advice I'd like to share is that HireRising is a different experience in the corporate world. The company is only in its fourth year of operation and is growing at a rapid pace. Although it is still very much in the corporate world, HireRising is a small company with room for growth in many departments. While the company's values promote growth and opportunity, as well as work-life balance.
