What I liked

I honestly liked the experience, I was able to help a lot of the customers and felt good about it as well. What I mainly enjoyed was the co workers and their stories and what their dreams were. They were around my age and were pursuing different things and were all there just until they get through college and pursue their career. The managers were also there for their business careers and I learning more about how they got to where they were was very insightful to be honest.

What I wish was different

I wish I was more outgoing at any time, towards the end I was able to express myself and talk more to my fellow co workers. However, that was only the end where I had to leave for college, in the beginning I was very shy and kept to myself and if I was more outgoing I believe I would be able to connect with them a lot sooner and learn even more.

Advice

A piece of advice would be to not be afraid of meeting new people. I encourage putting yourself out there to get to know people and not be afraid to ask questions, you may never know you can meet a new friend, or a mentor. Any connection you make with anyone is helpful and can be useful in the long run.

Sales Representative

July - August 2019 • San Mateo, CA

What I liked

The people I worked with were wonderful. They all were very welcoming, and supportive. It was fun being able to grow bonds with these people, and even see one another outside of work.

What I wish was different

I honestly wish I had the opportunity to have applied earlier in the year, so I could have started working immediately when summer began.

Advice

Do not be afraid of making mistakes. It is normal to not know how to go about talking to customers. It is also fine to make mistakes, but it is important to learn from them.
